Why Inner Wheel Club was established in Society - Inducted President
The newly inducted 8th President of Inner Wheel Club of Warri Metropolitan District 916 Nigeria, IWM Rachael Misan-Ruppee PhD has revealed that the organization is an embodiment of compassion, unity and shared committment to make the world a better place. Misan Ruppee made this revelation as she was handed over the mantle of leadership of the organization by her predecessor, lWM Apata Juliet, a programme which took on Saturday, at Blossom Place opposite Yonwuren College Ugbuwangue Warri in Warri Local Government Area of the state.
According to her, to inspire others is a profound act that sparks motivation, ignites passion and drives changes. She said the theme of the year being The Heartbeat of Humanity, it reflects the core values to care, connect and up lift one another as this what drives the organization for service and their work so meaningful. Her words:"
"Our guiding commitment this year is to reach and inspire for a better world...it speaks to the power we hold to influence positive challenge,.to extend our hands in empathy and to touch of those who need it most"
lWM Misan Ruppee who expressed gratitude to God Almighty to have been given this opportunity to serve in this capacity said, to reach others is to extend a hand of understanding, empathy and support to build bridges across all divide whether cultural, economic or social to ensure that no one left behind saying, this is to align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Her words:" l give God the praise, glory, honour and adoration to inducted as 8th President of this incredible organization.To be entrusted with leading such a passionate and dedicated group of women fills me with immense pride and l predge to serve with same dedication and commitment that has marked the leadership of prediccessors".
According to her, as humans, one has power to uplift spirit and encourage others to pursue their dreams whether by empowering women, encouraging children or supporting the less privileged, one must not underestimate the transformative power of inspiration. She therefore solicited the co-operation of all her executive to make her succeed in her mandate.
Her words;" As l step into this role,l am reminded that the strength of any leader lies in the support of those around him or her.l know with your encouragement, guidance and collective energy, we will make this year a tremendous impact. Together, will continue to break down barriers, foster understanding and empower others to their fullest potentials"
She said, the projects to embark upon this year include scholarship for orphans and indigent students, vocational skills development training with starter packs for vulnerable women, girls and persons with disabilities, cervical cancer screening and awareness creation, environmental, water,sanitation and hygiene outreaches to primary and secondary schools in the state and beyond.
She therefore appealed for support for organization financially from well meaning Nigerians home and abroad for them to achieve their mandate.
