We need your collaboration to fight crime in society, ACP Imade tells Journalists

Warri Area Command, Nigeria Police Force in Warri South Local Government Area of the state has urged journalists to collaborate with the Command to fight crime in the society. This was made known on Friday when the Warri Area Commander, ACP Graham Imade, PhD, Psc was addressing members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Warri Correspondents' Chapel.

According to him, Journalists are good sources of useful information which could help Nigeria Police Force to fight crime in the society and therefore seeks the collaboration of Warri  Correspondents' chapel of the NUJ to help him succeed in fighting crime in his area of jurisdiction which is Warri and its environs.

ACP Imade who said Warri Correspondents' Chapel was his first point of courtesy visit since he assumed office on 28th June 2024, said, he would have paid the chapel the visit before now but due to his busy schedule as a result of the just concluded local government elections coupled with #Endbadgovernance protest that rocked the nation hence his visitation was delayed. 

His words: "l am here as the Area Commander in Warri, and coincidentally, this is my first courtesy visit in the entire Warri, I assumed responsibility as Area Commander on the 28th June 2024...then after, the local government election and then, the protest, so, it has been back to back.. otherwise, l would have been here all awhile.."

The Warri Area Police Boss said, he operates an open door policy adding, his office was open for 24 hours to entertain information that would help him and his men  to fight crime in Warri and its environs. While ACP Imade expressed happiness for the visit, he said, on regular basis, he would have interface with the members of the union to rob minds to enable him succeed in his assignment. 

Responding on behalf of the Union, the Chairman, Comrade Okis Okpomor thanked ACP Imade for the visit just as he has assured him that his members are ready to collaborate with his Command to combat crime in Warri and its environs by giving him useful information. 

According to him, now that the ACP Imade has sought the co-operation of the Union members,he would  surely get it just as he assured him that the members of Union would  be  ready to have interface with him when the needs arise. The climax of the ACP Imade's visit was questions and answers on how the crime could be fought successfully in Warri and its environs.
