Disregard blackmails by Wrong Box on CP Abaniwonda,N'Delta right activist, Israel Joe urges IGP Egbetokun

A Niger Delta human right activist, Comrade Israel Joe over the weekend, urged the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun to disregard the notorious and blackmail methodologies allegedly done by one Victor Ojei popularly known as "Wrong Box" on  the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda. He said most times, the actions of "Wrong Box" against the Police are "anti-justice". 

In a statement sent  by Comrade Joe to our Correspondent in Warri on Sunday morning, he described CP Abaniwonda as a sagacious personality just as he urged IGP Egbetokun to encourage the State Police boss in the fight and eradication of crimes in the State. 

His words: "I equally call on the Delta State Command to continuously deal ruthlessly with bad eggs in the Police attempting to bring the good name of the Command into disrepute."

In a reaction to a misleading publication by "Wrong Box" whom Comrade Joe described as a self-acclaimed human right activist, he  said he (Wrong Box) has been dragging down the personality of the CP Abaniwonda who according to him, has been up and doing, curbing various degrees of crime in the State.

Comrade Joe said: "The case for which he referred in his ill-written petition was a case where the Police invited the victim, but he refused to show up and rather detailed the said Victor who was only a complainant and not the victim against the ethics of indepth investigations.

"However, the bad eggs in the Police (Decoy Squad), which he claimed, had demanded money for mobilisation, which was  not absorbed by the CP."

He added: "It is hereby paramount as a lone, but very loud voice in the state to inform the IG that such persons who had attempted to defraud members of the public by posting account details for contributions  of monies to a child who he claimed was missing should not be trusted as he is notorious for such misleading acts."
