Olomu Kingdom celebrates monarch at 91

The Olomu Kingdom of Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State has celebrated its Monarch, HRM Macaulay Popo Ovbagbedia, Uhurhie-Osadjere II, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom at 91.

The Olomu people eulogized the Monarch in a message signed by Olorogun Albert Akpomudje SAN, FCIArb, Otota of Olomu Kingdom yesterday.

According to the Learned Senior Advocate:"On behalf of the people of Olomu kingdom and Olomu Kingdom Traditional Council (OKTC), we whole-heartedly congratulate our esteemed Nonagenarian Monarch, His Royal Majesty Macaulay Popo Ovbagbedia, Uhurhie-Osadjere II, the Ohworode of ancient Olomu Kingdom on the event of his 91st birth anniversary.

"Undoubtedly, you are a great father full of wisdom and humility with intellect. You have been an unwavering leader committed to a greater Olomu Kingdom and Urhobo nation.

"We use this opportunity to restate our continued loyalty and dogged support to Your Majesty, as exemplified by your life of service to Olomu Kingdom and Urhobo Nation. 

"Our Royal Father, as your children, we pray that the good Lord continue to bless, prosper, keep and give you peace always, he added..

It was learnt that the Ohworode of Olomu will be conferring Chieftaincy titles on worthy Olomu sons and daughters as part of activities to mark his one year coronation anniversary on Saturday.
