NASS: Customs Deputy Comptroller collapses, dies
Not so cheery a news as the Deputy Comptroller of the Nigerian Customs Service, Essien Andrew, has slumped and died. This happened while fielding questions before the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts.
Essien Andrew was in charge of the Finance, Administration, and Technical Services of the NCS. While he was answering questions bordering on the Revenue of the Service, he coughed and requested for water. It was gathered that before he was given water, the officer collapsed and was rushed to the National Assembly Clinic, where he was pronounced dead. At the time of filling in this report, the details of the cause of his death are not yet known.
