Hensard University was founded to make a clear difference in education says Dickson

Founder of Hensard University, Senator Seriake Dickson, said his love for total liberation and proper education of youths for national development were his motivation for establishing the institution. 

The former Bayelsa State Governor, whose educational legacies during his two-term in office remain  outstanding,  stated this during his maiden interactive session with the pioneer students of the first private university in the state.

Senator Dickson who seized the occasion to unveil laudable packages for the students, also challenged them to make good use of world class facilities and programmes available in the institution to better their future.

His words: "This is a semi-formal interaction with the pioneer students of Hensard University in Toru Orua. I thought l should interact with them like my children that they are. Many of such interactions would be coming up with notable  personalities from all walks of life, both locally and internationally. 

"Leaders from public service, industrial giants and religious. People who shape world opinions. This university is much more than just receiving university degrees. It's much more than that. We are for skills acquisitions, academic excellence and respectable personalities and character developments. 

"Issues of compassion, respect for diversity, believe in God and regards for what we call 12 pillars of Hensard. I had this pep talk with them. We have formally welcomed them. They are really very fortunate students to be pioneers of this great university. 

"We are starting very small like every new institution, with very big agenda. I thank the VC and his academic and non-academic team for a job well done. Everyone who comes here is pleased  with  the facilities on ground for such a new institution as ours.

"Hensard has come to stay, and parents and guardians who are looking for quality education in a safe and serene environment in a university that is focuses on skill developments, academic excellence  and all round development of an individual, Hensard University is it.

"Interestingly, our fees are not too high relatively speaking, compared to what we are offering. We have  e-learning facilities that can connect to the best lecturers around  the world, in our smart classrooms. A student here has access to all the faculties  beyond the four walls  of  Hansard University. 

"We have practical facilities,  mentorship and have regular interactions  with leaders.  I have just finished my pep talk with them. We are expecting current and former nation leaders in business, politics and religions, captains of industries would be here to tell these children  what is possible when they choose the right path. What is possible with discipline and steadfastness, he concluded.

On his part, Professor Dileep Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Hensard University said the institution is poised to raise graduate entrepreneurs  through its  connection with research and entrepreneurship in the bid to achieve academic excellence.

According to him, the institution exposes students to practicals skills, world-class education and industry-based learning to enable them compete favorably with others in the global space.
