Delta: Robbery activities, Cultism stopped after Oborevwori installed street lights
Ahead of the Eid-el-fitr celebration, the Etsu-Nupe of Warri and its environs, Alhaji Zuberu Mohammed Tajudeen today said armed robbery activities and cultism have stopped in Hausa Quarters, Igbudu market and Nupe line in Warri because of the street lights Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led Delta State Government installed in the area.
The Nupe monarch made the assertion during a chat with Our Correspondent in Warri today.
Alhaji Tajudeen said Governor Oborevwori is trying in the areas of security of lives of the people.
"Governor Oborevwori is trying a lot in security. Since he came into power, we have not seen dubious boys moving up and down like the way they do before.
"In the locality we are, in our jungle we are, formerly we used to see them snatch bags, they snatch that. But since he(Oborevwori )came,all stopped."
Alhaji Tajudeen stressed that immediately the governor installed the street lights, all criminal activities in the area stopped.
According to Alhaji Tajudeen said,"because of the street light, at night, we are seeing them and they're seeing us and nobody can come and take anything from us."
He thanked Governor Oborevwori for securing the lives and properties of the people with the installation of the street lights.
Alhaji Tajudeen assured Nigerians especially the Nupe and Hausa people in Warri and its environs that Eid-el-fitr celebration will pave way for them in the Country.
"Things are going to be good for everybody. The fasting we have just finished, the reward is going to come whether you are a Muslim or Christian, God is going to present it to you."
