A Warri based legal practitioner Mr. Owen Nanakumoh Esq today said no one should blame the Delta State Governor, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi over the killings of seventeen(17) soldiers in Okuama Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Nanakumoh made the assertion during a chat with PEBNEWS Correspondent in Warri.

He said the governor and the commissioner of Police or anyone in power wouldn't want their governments or offices to be destabilised.

Nanakumoh urged Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori to be proactive in addressing the neccessary issues he inherited in the State saying, "he has only four years to exhibit his competence in this first tenure." He said Deltans expect nothing less from his government.

Nanakumoh also appealed to Deltans to be patient with the governor to allow him adequate time to address the necessary issues he inherited.

"This is  germane to  the  effect that  his administration has just spent less than a year in office."

Nanakumoh also drew the attention of the governor to the state of the courts and the quest for the full autonony of the JUDICIARY in Delta State.

According to Nanakumoh, Governor Oborevwori should grant the judiciary full autonomy and be the first governor and State to do so or amongst the first set of states on this regard.

"Finally,  I  wish and pray for our  Governor that God should grant him the divine direction and wisdom to pilot the affairs of Delta State."
