Right activist, Omorere threatens to drag military to Court over alleged destruction of Delta Community

Human right activist, Comrade Gabriel Omorere today threatened to drag the military to court for the alleged destruction of Okuama Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State. He said he will ensure the military rebuild the community which is now a "ghost town" as well as pay compensation to the indigenes. 

Comrade Omorere disclosed this in a chat with Our Correspondent in Warri. 

Comrade Omorere, an ex-officio of the Civil Rights Council, Delta State Chapter said the soldiers destroyed properties, farmlands, cars running into several billions of naira in reprisal of the attacks and killing of some top officers.

Comrade Omorere, a member of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Delta State Chapter also said, "The military must pay for this destruction when it hasn't been established that the people of Okuama or Okolo Communities were the ones who killed the sold
