PAP: Otuaro promises to deliver on mandate, condemns Okuama killing
The Coordinator of Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro has promised to deliver on his mandate, just as he condemns killings of 17 Soldiers in Delta Community.
Otuaro made the promise Friday during a visit to the secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume in his office.
The Amnesty Coordinator noted that he will bring his experience to bear having been trusted with the assignment.
Akume congratulated Otuaro, noting that the President has confidence in his ability to achieve the vision of the programme.
Relatedly, Otuaro has condemned the brutal killings of 17 Soldiers to Okuama community of Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
He made the call when he paid a condolence visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Matawalle in his office on Friday.
Otuaro said that the incident was very unfortunate and calls for thorough investigation of the incidence.
He condoles family members of the slain officers and urge the military to be professional as they fish out the killers and perpetrators of the dastardly act.
Matawalle on his part noted that the military as professionals will stick by the rules of engagement while searching for the killers of the soldiers.
