Oil Theft: Nigeria is the only country I have, so I will do everything within my power to ensure that oil production increases - Tompolo

Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, chairman Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSL) has assured that he will do everything within his power to increase oil production in Nigeria.

Tompolo made this declaration on Saturday, 2nd of March, during a visit of the national leadership of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) to confer him prestigious awards at Oporoza, in Gbaramatu kingdom, Delta State. 

PEBNEWS can report that the national leadership of NUJ confered Tompolo 'Internal Security Meritorious Award', while the DOPF inducted Tompolo into the 'DOPF Niger Delta Media Hall of Fame'.

In part, Tompolo reacted that he has no passport to travel out and has no country to call home except Nigeria and further exaggerates that he will always stand for the country over oil and gas.

In his words, "I want to appreciate you, I thank the leader of the team for this consideration, for us to continue to live as one in this country, we need to work together as brothers and sisters. 

"You know that the only thing that has been sustaining this country for now is oil and gas, and the thing is here where we want to be part of the business. But some people now feel they can just come here and collect it and go away without involving our people. 

"I want to appeal to everyone that nobody can do anything reasonable without the media, some people go to the media to say several things but as for me, I don’t even have passport to travel out of the country, the only place I can call my country is Nigeria. 

"Nigeria is the only country I have, so I will do everything within my powers and my team to ensure that oil production increases for the country so we can have the funds to pay salaries of security officials, government officials and develop the country. I thank you specially for coming to honour us, God bless you." He stated.
