Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSL), a private security outfit owned by Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, aka, Tompolo, has bagged the best security company award at the New Telegraph Newspaper Awards Ceremony 2024, which was held on Friday, 2nd of February in Lagos. As an indigenous security service, Tantita Security, with headquarters in Warri has been providing risk management, preventive and protective security services over the fight against oil theft in Nigeria.Speaking with press, Mrs. Juliet Bunah, Editor New Telegraph Newspaper, applauded the security outfit and revealed how they picked Tantita for the award over four they nominated."Before our board and panel of judges decided that we will give the award to Tantita, we have looked at what the security company is doing in the Niger Delta."We know the problem, we heard them, oil theft and everything."It was not just Tantita Security Services that we picked, we had like four nominations for security company of the year. But after looking at what Tantita Security Services has been doing, our board of editors and panel of judges decided that Tantita merited the award."Awarding Tantita as the security company of the year means that it came first for us among other security companies in Nigeria," she stated. While receiving the award, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, media consultant to Tantita Security Services Limited, expressed gratitude to the newspaper over the award and promised to work harder, making sure Nigeria produces 2million barrel of crude oil per day.In his words; "I must say that New Telegraph Newspaper does not make mistakes in selecting Tantita Security Services as the best security company of the year because when this company was contracted to prevent surveillance for our critical national assets in the Niger Delta Region as regards crude oil, the company hit the ground immediately and results were seen."From August 2022, Tantita Security company has made so many revolutions in our oil sector that hitherto were not known. Particularly, tapping of major pipelines by miscreants, refract in our country and siphon petroleum products from those pipelines. So Tantita wait after them and expose them."In the first quarter of our job, we discovered over 400 tap points of major pipelines in Nigeria, so the award is well received, and we're proud to be recognised as the best security company of the year."Reward for hardwork is more work, so Tantita has promised to do more this year. Our goal is to make sure that Nigeria produces 2million barrel of crude oil per day in the country."Certainly, Tantita is providing a support job, so it's our call to our governors in the Niger Delta region, major oil industry players and the military to put more synergy with Tantita Security company to achieve the goal that is set out to achieve," he said. However, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, former Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency also commended Tantita Services, adding that the oil production has gone up, stressed that 'they're really adding value'.He said, "Tantita Security was given an award, I also think it is a public acknowledgement of the things they're doing, we celebrate them and encourage them to do more."We're at a challenging period in the life of our nation, challenge of all front, challenges in the area of insecurity, the economy and even social cognition. And so, we need all hands on deck, we need everybody to think outside the box and bring whatever value they can bring to the table, in that way, we will prosper as a nation, we will be stronger, and will be more united."For Tantita, I have not had the opportunity to access the situation properly, but I know that they are adding a lot of value, so I congratulate them. They're really adding value."You can see the oil production has gone up, theft has reduced, and indeed, that's what we need as a country."You can't ignore the little contribution they're making in that area."
