Tribunal announces judgement date for Presidential Election

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has announced an official date to deliver its judgment on the election petition filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).PEBNEWS can report that PEPT fixed Wednesday, September 6, 2023, for the final judgment of the petition by the PDP, and LP which challenged the election of Tinubu as president of the country.The verdict will be handed down by a panel of five judges headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani.It could be recall that the petitioners had cited widespread irregularities and malpractices in the February 25 election.However, the Appeal Court Chief Registrar, Umar M.
