Delta cultist kills young boy over Barrette

A cultist intentionally stabbed young boy in his 20's, identified as Sele-ebi Ware-ebi to death over a heated argument for putting on red barrette.The Torugbene young boy, Sele-ebi was killed on Friday as he visited Tuomor community. Both communities are of Burutu Local Government, Delta State.It was revealed that the cultist was tied together with the boy he stabbed to death and was later beaten to death by aggrieved residents of his own community, preventing further communal crisis. PEBNEWS reports.According to a source, the cultist demanded N5,000 from Sele-ebi for putting on his cult's coloured barrette. Eventually, the cultist brought out dagger and stabbed the boy to death as he had no money to pay.The source added that the barrette was meant for church activities before the cultist attacked him of it.In his words, "A Tuomo boy who is a cultist stopped a Torugbene boy who wore a barrette. The cultist asked the Torugbene boy, "Why do you put on this barrette? Who are you to put on this barrette?"They argued, but the Torugbene boy said, 'It is my church barrette.'"Then the Tuomo boy demanded for N5,000 before he would let the Torugbene boy go. The Torugbene boy said he doesn't have money. Then, the Tuomo boy brought out a dagger and stabbed the Torugbene boy to death."Tuomo Community tied their son down and rushed the victim to hospital. But, unfortunately, the boy died. So they tied their son together with the dead body and was later beaten to death." He said.
