Residents of Delta community scoop diesel flowing on water
Residents of Sandfill 2/Warri Corner in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State threw caution to the wind as they scoop diesel floating on Warri rivers.Sources revealed that the diesel was flowing from a leaking barge detained by the Nigerian Navy. However, residents saw that as opportunity as they set out in canoes to scoop the diesels flowing on the river with pieces of foams."It came to our notice that diesel was floating on the river, so we pushed out our canoes to the location where it is flowing from and started mopping in other to make money from it." A source who took part revealed to our correspondent.Residents who went for the scooping mission also revealed that they earned about five drums of diesel, some succeeded 10 drums, while others 15 drums before personnels that are in charge of the barge compromised to ameliorate the situation.
