Delta Philanthropist fetes indigenes with scholarships and cash gifts

A Delta philanthropist and community developer, Mr Paul Uruemu Gelor has awarded scholarships to eight indigents students, cash donation to the aged during an empowerment outing in Usiefurun community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta.Gelor also splashed 65inch LG television, Home theatre, 10 POS Machines, 60 packs of rice, cash donation to 20 men, 20 women and the training of five persons on Netflix respectively.Marvellous Ubiomo, Ediri Christabel, Happiness Ochuko, Onaowho Favour, Michael Egbe, Samson Obukowho, Kessena Happiness and Happiness Umukoro were lucky with scholarships award.Gelor in his speech said, "My reasons of reaching out to my people is because the essence of life to impact on your neighbours and Jesus Christ demonstrated that by saying how can you say you love me when those around you have not been shown love?"What we are doing is to reach out to people with the little resources that we have so they can still belong to be part and parcel of the event of life."We have not come to show people how much we have but to show how much we loved God, the community and humanity, and to impact on the society."My intention is for us to have a common front to develop this place In a way that the PDP family will see unity among themselves and for us to come and work together unanimously."Our essence of giving is not to trace what the items are been used for, ours is fulfil what God has asked us to do and the rest should be left at the hands of the beneficiaries.Recipient of the 65inch LG television and Home theatre, Mr Alex Ahwerhurho said, "As a unit chairman, I never expected this and with these Items, I will be dedicated to do more for our people, community, and the PDP. On her part a POS recipient, Mrs Ogheneovo Richard said, "Now that I have been given POS machine, I will immediately start my business, I will not sell it rather, i will use it to hustle to make profit cause I need money." Commending the efforts of the donor, Olorogun John Oguma who was represented by Evang Paul Etaga appealed to other people to emulate Mr Gelor Uruemu Paul in ensuring that unity exist among the people of Ughelli South and the PDP.During the presentation over 50 persons decamped from their various political parties to the PDPDignitaries at the event includes, Gelor Uruemu Paul, Evang Paul Etaga, Chief Michal Oshetigho PDP Chairman Ughelli South, Chief Gordons Okomitie, Chief Godstime Oghenebrhorien, amongst others.
