Senator Clement Annie Okonkwo from Anambra State died at the age of 63.PEBNEWS reports that the former lawmaker was said to have suffered cancer of the lungs and almost died, but recovered. In April, he relapsed and had been in life support until he passed on.“Recovering after taking proper treatment in the United States of America but relapsed a few days ago and died,” a family source stated.Annie Okonkwo’s death is coming just two weeks after he celebrated his 63rd birthday on May 23rd, 2023.The deceased was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to represent the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone in Anambra State in 2007.Meanwhile, Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, his son, is the House of Representative's Member-Elect for Idemilli North and Idemili South Federal Constituencies, Anambra State.However, funeral arrangements for Annie Okonkwo will be announced by the family soonest.
