Tompolo bags leadership award from an academic society in Delta
High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, the Ibe-ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, bagged a leadership award from College of Edication, Warri, Delta State, as staff celebrated it 20th Convocation, Gala & Award Ceremony today Friday, 12 May, 2023 at the campus.The award, which was presented to the Tompolo's representative, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo by the Chairman of the Governing Council of College of Education, Warri, Chief Ogbuefi VOT Abanum, shows that the personality of Tompolo is a lover of education and a contributor of growth and development to society. Proudly presented by College of Education, Warri."While speaking with Tompolo's media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, who represented him, revealed why the award was conferred on him."I represented High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo to pick up the award graciously awarded to him by the College of Education, Warri. It is with a lot of gratitude having being recognised as someone who has been contributing to the society, and it is resolved to continue to help society, coming to the aid of the less privileged is something he has been doing and he will continue to do it."Tompolo is the CEO of the Mieka Diving Institute, which has also produced divers in this country. He also midwived the Nigeria Maritime University. He supported it with his facilities for it to take off, and he has been contributing to many institutions in this country.
