Group rallies support for Oborovwori in Delta

A national group, Elites For Good Governance (EFGG) has called on the people of Delta State to turn out enmass and vote for the Governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Sheriff Oborovwori during this weekend elections.The group, in a statement issued yesterday and signed by it's National President, Mr. Ogie Samson, said the candidate of the ruling party was adequately prepared to become the governor of the oil rich state.It advised the electorates not to be deceived by other gubernatorial candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Labour Party (LP) and others into pocketing the state for their selfish reasons."The electorates should guard against tricks of other candidates who never meant well for the people of the state. They should come out on Saturday and vote for Him. Sheriff Oborovwori of the Peoples Democratic Party. He is better placed to rule the state based on his antecedents. "Before electorate should think of working for or voting for any governorship candidate, they should look at social and political abilities of such candidate because that is the only way the masses can benefit. Hon. sheriff Oborovwori stands out amongst all the candidates", it stated.The group said, they are not supporting All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Ovie Omo- Agege in the coming elections because of his last antecedents particularly "his role  In snatching the mace during his first tenure as a Lawmaker in the Senate"Looking back at the activities of Hon. Ovie Omo-Agege, everyone who followed him to remove the mace from the Senate, non is empowered till today, while some died because of lack of finance to treat themselves and the remaining people are not able to access him for help", it added.EFGG also advised members of the Labour Party in the state not to waste their votes for their candidate noting that he has been living all his life in Lagos and thereby disconnected with happenings and desire of the people of the state."We advice the masses of Obedient to understand that the person contesting for Governorship through labour party has never helped, in any way, in the development of the state, but rather has been living in Lagos untill he decides to come to Delta State to manipulate the anger of the masses to get what he did not work for and cannot even have the ability to control", it added.The group stated that after an extensive research members decided to throw it's weight behind Hon. Sheriff Oborovwori because EFGG realized he is a  grassroot politician who has been uniting with the masses and is always easily accessible. EFGG berates PDP members defecting to the opposition of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state describing them as opportunists who benefitted immensely from the People's Democratic Party since 1999 till date.
